To drive to Uphill and Brean, leave Bristol on the A370. You can join it at Cumberland Basin, or Ashton Gate. Follow signs for Weston super mare and then for the sea front. At the sea front turn left, the sea will be on your right. Continue, looking for signs to Uphill. It will be a turn to the right on a bend. Keep going and you will arrive at the beach car park.
Before you reach the beach car park you will pass a small car park on the left. There is a footpath you can use to reach the remains of the Uphill Church. It is a steep climb but there are good views of Brean Down, Weston super mare and the sands at Brean.
